Nelson Jr Enano, PhD
Nelson Jr Enano works in the academe and has been conducting research in the area of energy engineering and policy since 2009. He is the director of the Center for Renewable Energy and Appropriate Technologies (CREATE) of the Ateneo de Davao University in the years 2011 to 2013 and then back in 2018 up to present. He also acts as the consortium chair of the Mindanao Renewable Energy R&D Center (MREC), a niche center for R&D in the regions (NICER) funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) with focused research on Ocean Renewable Energy (ORE) and Concentrated Solar Power (CSP).
Jessie B. Manuta, PhD
Dr. Manuta brings twenty (20) years of expertise in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction (DRR-CCA); resilience building; disaster risk governance; environmental impact assessment and monitoring; and sustainable, secured and empowered enterprises. As an authority on climate change, he has authored and co-authored various scholarly publications on climate change adaptation, vulnerability assessment and disaster management.
Maria Normita Palo
Ma Normita Palo has more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive in NGOs, as a trainer and consultant for NGOs, for cooperatives, communities, local government units, donor agencies and for small businesses.
She has carried out assignments in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Fiji, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, Geneva, Pakistan, Afghanistan for donor agencies that include GTZ, USAID, World Bank, ADB, JICA, World Vision, Horizont3000, DKA, AECID among others.
Roberto Palo
Roberto has more than 25 years of experience as a communication professional and senior trainer and consultant for NGOs, cooperatives, communities, for local government units, donor agencies and for small businesses.
As trainer-consultant, he has developed his expertise in the fields of enterprise development, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, value-links, and social marketing.
Lourdes R. Simpol, PhD
Director, Tropical Institute for Climate Studies (tropics)
Dr. Simpol has 32 years of professional experience in environmental sciences and the academe. Her areas of expertise include climate change; “applied” risk assessment, mitigation and adaptation to grassroots (Local Government Units and People’s Organizations). The results of her work in water quality assessment, including protocol the development for analysis and sampling procedures for pesticide residue analysis have been applied to different river systems of Davao City (7 river systems), Davao del Sur (2 river system) and South Cotabato (3 river system).
Julia Jasmine M. Sta Romana
Mrs. Julia Jasmine Sta Romana is a junior associate of InterDev Consulting Inc. and ADFEC member. She completed the CEFE training, TOT Laguna Batch and CEFE for the Youth Training of Trainers, a project sponsored by the Eramus Programme of the European Union in 2016. Julia started out as researcher in the University of the Philippines- Marine Science Institute in 2003 before moving to the private sector to work as a medical information analyst/ subject matter expert for 5 years. Since 2008, she has been working as a writer and subject matter expert trainer on and off for internet marketing, social media and online content development.

Dam Vertido brings 11 years of resettlement experience, seven years of people-driven development work with poverty, conflict, and disaster-affected communities.
Ida D. Dangoy
Ida D. Dangoy has more than 30 years of experience in development work. After finishing her bachelor course in commerce with a major in accounting in 1989, she worked with several NGO organizations handling programs and projects in relation to sustainable rural development. She had special studies in Conflict Transformation in 1992 from the Mindanao Peace Building Institute and had completed a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU). She also attended the Agri-Business Executive Program (AEP) of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P). Aside from Project Development and Management, her other fields of interest include Indigenous Peoples (IP) organizing and Community Development; Conflict Resolution and Peace Building; Local Governance Development; and Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.
Ms. Dangoy has ample experience in working in a project that seek to understand how climate and other hazards affecting the vulnerability of the local population and their livelihoods, evaluate how existing or planned projects affect local livelihood resources that are vulnerable to climate and other hazards and/or relevant to coping with those hazards, considering gender-specific issues. She also has the capacity to direct a team in identifying new adaptation strategies to strengthen the threatened livelihood resources and adjust existing projects or design new activities in order to strengthen the beneficiaries’ adaptive capacities to deal with climate and other hazards.
